Avec Quartararo aidant Yamaha à terminer deuxième au classement des constructeurs, le champion du monde 2021 a pu masquer ce qui a été en grande partie une année difficile pour la marque.
Coéquipier Franco Morbidelli a eu du mal à s'adapter à la M1 d'usine et a réussi un meilleur résultat de septième avant de se classer 19e au classement avec 42 points, avec tous les pilotes Yamaha de l'équipe d'usine et RNF Racing marquant un total de 89 points par rapport aux 248 de Quartararo.
