Le Grand Prix de Finlande MotoGP sera annulé pour la saison 2022, la situation géopolitique actuelle entre la Russie et l'Ukraine obligeant à le reporter à 2023.

La Finlande voisine a ainsi déclaré son intention de rejoindre l’OTAN, ce qui n’a pas été bien accueilli en Russie.

L'instance dirigeante des courses moto, la FIM, a donc déclaré que les travaux d'homologation sur le circuit KymiRing ne pourraient pas être terminés à temps pour la course MotoGP prévue le 10 juillet et a donc choisi de reporter la course à 2023.
