"Estoy muy contento de anunciar que voy a continuar mi aventura en AZUL. El invierno pasado Yamaha me demostró que tienen un nuevo enfoque y una nueva mentalidad agresiva. Mi confianza es alta; volveremos a estar al frente juntos. Hace 6 años me dieron la oportunidad de dar el salto a MotoGP y desde entonces hemos logrado grandes cosas juntos. Aún nos queda un largo camino por delante para empezar a luchar por la victoria de nuevo. Trabajaré duro y estoy seguro de que, juntos, lograremos nuestro sueño otra vez."
