KTM is currently going through a good phase in MotoGP. If Jerez is considered to be the 'real' start of the championship, it was also on Spanish soil that the Austrian manufacturer managed to win the sprint race, the second of the season for Brad Binder, and it was also in Jerez that KTM placed its two riders on the podium in both races.

Although the highlight was Francesco Bagnaia's victory, Alex Criville gave the KTM more importance in his analysis of the weekend:

- The great race of Italian rider Pecco Bagnaia, at the controls of his Ducati, [...], climbing to the top of the Andalusian podium and retaking the overall lead is an important achievement, although for me, the news that I would highlight is the performance that KTM is showing thanks to its team and its riders and, in particular, Dani Pedrosa, the great architect of the evolution of the Austrian brand in MotoGP. His performance throughout the weekend has been admirable, leaving many of the team members, including the riders themselves, open-mouthed, who have surrendered to the innate talent of the KTM test rider.

Quoted by Marca, the first Spanish rider to be world champion in the former 500cc class continued: 'We must bear in mind that the competition in the premier class is fierce and with a very high level, with riders who are dedicated, day by day, and body and soul, to evolve with their bikes, which further rewards the performance of the #26. The Austrians are making great strides and after four podiums in two days, their riders are now third and fourth in the overall standings, with Brad Binder just three points behind second placed Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati). Keep an eye on KTM.'
