Pecco kronet mester med Ducati i en spent avgjørelse som fikk tittelutfordrerne til å ta kontakt.

Ducati Lenovo-teamets Francesco Bagnaia har vunnet verdensmesterskapet i MotoGP™ i 2022 ved å bli nummer niende i sesongens siste løp på Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana – en første slik tittel for mannen veiledet av Valentino Rossi.

Monster Energy Yamahas Fabio Quartararo startet Grand Prix og trengte intet mindre enn seier for å ha håp om en andre strake krone, men endte på en fjerdeplass i en konkurranse vunnet av Team Suzuki Ecstars Alex Rins – enda en seier til Hamamatsu-produsenten.

Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) og Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) rundet pallen etter 27 runder rundt Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
