Repsol Honda heeft de ondertekening van Luca Marini bevestigd. De 26-jarige kwam in 2021 terecht in de koningsklasse nadat hij zes overwinningen en vijftien podiumplaatsen had behaald in het Moto2™ Wereldkampioenschap, en eindigde als tweede in 2020. Sinds hij in de koningsklasse kwam, heeft Marini twee Grand Prix-podia, twee poleposities en vier sprintpodia in 2023. Hij zal zich bij Joan Mir voegen in het Honda-fabrieksteam op basis van een contract van twee jaar.
