The MotoGP paddock is in chaos as Jorge Martín drops a bombshell — he's ready to walk away from Aprilia at the end of 2025. With whispers of an exit clause in his contract and his shaky return from injury still fresh, the reigning world champion’s potential departure is setting off a rider market domino effect heading into 2026.

🗣️ “With a rider like Martín, the excuses are over,” said Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola, who’s now left facing a critical decision for next season’s lineup.

Martín’s camp has confirmed he’ll explore factory team options, and top contenders are already circling:

Honda HRC – Rumored front-runner. Could team up with friend Aleix Espargaró, who may also head there post-Aprilia.
Pramac Racing – Now with Yamaha, but familiar territory for Martín.
VR46 – A tempting reunion with Ducati machinery under the Pertamina Enduro banner.
LCR Honda Castrol – Potential factory-spec ride with less pressure.

Names like Pedro Acosta, Toprak Razgatlioglu, Luca Marini, Johann Zarco, and Jack Miller are also swirling around the grid shuffle, with many vying for any open factory seat — whether at Aprilia or elsewhere.

If Martín leaves, Aprilia’s #1 spot opens next to Marco Bezzecchi, creating another high-stakes vacancy and keeping the paddock rumour mill in overdrive.
