By now, Motoproworks has got some wind beneath its wings. We’ve got a sense of direction, a path mapped out for each season. As we expand, we've realized that growth brings the gift of sharing. The year 2024 is a milestone for us—our team is growing, and it's time to give thanks to everyone who’s been part of this journey, including you, dear reader. So, we decided it’s high time to start documenting, writing, and sharing a bit more of what happens behind the scenes.

Handling the Beast

Enter the brand new KTM 1390 Super Duke R—a name that’s a mouthful and a machine that will punch you in the face you if you don’t handle it with respect. Designing for this beast demands a rigorous thought process.

The journey involves several phases—design, tracing, and relentless testing. Our head designer spends the entire winter staring at walls, conjuring up ideas. The self-inflicted pain pays off for the rest of the team. Then the real fun begins. We all dive in with our input, fine-tuning alignments, and conducting test after test. Finally, we see the graphics mounted and get ready for the photo shoot.

Video or Still Photography?

Honestly, we’re torn. A beautiful still image appeals to us, but trends are meant to be broken. Lately, we've been embracing more film work, finding new ways to capture motion.

The recent shoots for the KTM 1390 Duke were a blast, especially on the second day. A guy in a leather suit under the blazing sun (28 degrees Celsius, 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit), and a creative director sitting comfortably in an air-conditioned car, planning the next shot. It was a test of endurance and creativity, and we loved every minute of it. Some more than others.

Behind the Designs

Each season, our inspiration comes from diverse sources—nature, urban landscapes, racing history, and even the unique quirks of our team members. For the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, the aggressive lines and raw power were drawn from the wild, untamed forces of nature. We also added an un-healthy amount of space soap operas and old school sci-fi resulting in two initial themes, the Nebula and the Revel (in chalk grey which we think looks proper in matte finish). Needless to say, being officially licensed for KTM graphics is an honor and we take our mission seriously.

Engaging with the Community

One of the most exhilarating aspects of our growth is engaging with our community. Your feedback, enthusiasm, and support are the high-octane fuel that drives us forward. We want to hear from you—your thoughts, your wild rides with our products, and your crazy ideas for the future.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to grow, the horizon is nothing short of electrifying. New projects, uncharted collaborations, and adventures that would make a sci-fi writer blush await us. We're hell-bent on pushing the boundaries, exploring new frontiers, and sharing every pulse-pounding step of the journey with you.

So buckle up, stay tuned, and let's ride this beast together into the unknown.
